Colour…On

Students will explore five different colouring mediums on a variety of surfaces, fabrics and papers.

The techniques explored are

Oil Sticks

  • Freezer paper stencils

  • Rubbing plates – found objects

  • Creating ‘leather’ paper

Inks & Wax Crayons

  • Colouring a design of your choice

  • Marbling

  • Texturizing

  • Grating 

Transfer Paints (Polyester)

  • Creating a design with colour on a
    variety of fabrics

Watercolour Pencils and Ink Bars

  • Colouring a design of your choice

    • Pallet mix

    • Mix on fabric

 
 

Workshop Options

Two Day Workshop

Day one: Students will start with the basic understanding of the products and their tools. Day one will focus on oil sticks and inks with wax crayons.

Day two: Students will finish exploring the techniques from day one, and then learn about watercolour pencils and/or ink bars, and transfer paints.
